Best markets on the Sunny Coast!

Best markets on the Sunny Coast

Living on the Sunshine Coast brings a multitude of thing to do, including visiting the best beaches in Australia and the green hinterland. One of our favourite things to do is explore the many markets held on the Sunny Coast, you can find anything from fresh food, collectables, clothes, food vans and second-hand items! Who doesn’t love finding a bargain, here are some of the best below:

1 – Eumundi markets – probably the most famous markets on the coast, a short drive inland from the coast, the markets are held every Wednesday and Saturday. These markets are huge! Be sure to make it a day trip, you will lose yourself through all of the stalls. You’ll find fresh food, candles, clothes, art, home wears, jewellery… the list goes on and on! Make sure you check out the food vans and spoil yourself!

2 – Cotton tree markets – This lovely little set up is in the heart of cotton tree, held every Sunday! You will find a lot of jewellery, clothes, art, crystals and skin care. I love popping into these markets on my Sunday morning walk, there are not over whelming, you can meander through enjoying the markets slowly! Right in the heart of cotton tree, there are many cafes to stop and have breakfast / brunch at along the way

3 – Caloundra markets – Another big market on the Sunny Coast, held every Sunday in the main street of Caloundra (Bulcock street). You’ll find fun, food, fashion, garden, home and much more! With over 100 stalls make sure you give yourself ample time to visit all the stall holders, they all love a chat! There’s fresh food vans and cafes lining the street, so best to make a day of it and include lunch!

4 – Fisherman’s road markets – these markets are more fresh food, veggies, fruits, breads and seafood! My favourite olives come from one of the stalls owned by an Italian man that has brought his recipes to the Sunny Coast. There’s beautiful fresh bread, fruit and veggies straight from the market gardens and as you get through the markets a lot of clothes stalls. There’s a conveniently located bouncy castle for the kids on the way out

5 – Sunshine coast collective markets – held every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month, these markets are held at the local primary school in Coolum. Having been myself multiple times, I found the stall holders selling high quality home wears, fashion, jewellery, plants and much more! They are very focused on creativity, so you are bound to find some one off pieces here!
