Living on the Sunshine Coast seems like a constant holiday! One of the greatest things about the place we live is our unbelievable beaches! Here is a list of must-see beaches on the sunny coast
– Noosa, Little Cove – this is my favourite beach out of the whole sunny coast, a hidden little gem around the corner from Noosa main beach, just a short stroll up the hill and you will see a little cove to your left. Chill out and have a swim in the clear waters then wander back down to Hastings street for a beer and delicious food!
– Mooloolaba spit – a beautiful place to spend the day! Calmer waters allow for the kids to run and play in the water without worrying to much. There’s BBQ’s and eateries close by so its easy to spend a full day here. I am told the best takeaway fish and chips is served here, what’s more Australian than a day at the beach with fresh fish and chips!
– Coolum Beach – just a short drive from Maroochydore off the motorway brings you down David Low Way, as you drive past Mount Coolum and over the hill into Coolum (or Cooltown as the locals call it) look to your right and see the beautiful view of waves crashing against the rocky cliffs, there are a few bays to visit before hitting Coolum beach itself, with first bay being a favourite among locals. The Coolum beach surf club looks over the main beach, be sure to head in there for a cold drink and a meal – arguably the best view from a surf club on the coast
– Sunshine Beach – Sunshine beach is half way to Noosa, and its name describes it down to a tea. A beautiful long stretch of sand and ocean, if you’re looking for a beach that gives you room this is the one! Also, a favourite for surfers! Sunshine beach surf club is a short walk from the beach with the best deck I have experienced on the coast, start your Sundays with a swim at the beautiful beach and finish with a pub meal on the deck!
– Moffat Beach – Close to Caloundra, this beach has everything! Sand, grass, playgrounds, cafes and bars nearby! Family friendly, the kids can have fun on the playground then mosey on down to the beach and cool off in the water! Moffat beach also has a beautiful coastal walk that is pram friendly for most of the way. An instagramers dream, make sure you take a shot on the walk or it didn’t happen!
