The Sunshine Coast offers a wide range of career opportunities in diverse industries. However, with chronic staff shortages in many of these industries, we are seeing employers struggling to find staff, with many store windows displaying “Apply Within” job advertisements.
Using this form of advertising for staff is very hit and miss as it requires your perfect candidate to be walking past your store, preferably with a resume in hand. And if job seekers do turn up to apply, it means interruptions for you at times that may not be ideal (like when you’re serving customers).
If you are already advertising online, given the current difficulty to find great staff, the more places you can be seen, the better!
What can we do for you?
Let's look at this in different tiers of opportunity.
#1 Set and forget
The simplest and fastest option is to create a profile and let potential candidates know the types of jobs you have available in your business. Take five minutes and upload a logo, copy and paste some content from your website and nominate the job opportunities on offer.
This option allows you to be found in the employer directory but you will only be found in searches for the job types you nominated.

#2 Post an Advert
The next step up from ‘set and forget’ is to post specific job advertisements, allowing you to capture and track applicants. These advertisements are not only posted on the Sunny Coast Jobs site but also on other sites like Indeed.com and the Sunny Coast Jobs’ Facebook page, further increasing your reach.
A benefit of choosing this option is that now you are building your own database of potential candidates to draw from next time you are hiring or have a shift to fill. Simply search the candidates who apply and reach out to them via your account portal.

#3 Professional Recruitment Services
We offer support for those employers who are too busy to undertake all of the processes themselves. Once you log in as an Employer, you can review the full list of services available and the corresponding investment but here are examples of what’s on offer…

This option can also be used if you’d prefer to trial an employee or set a probationary period before you transfer the employee from our books to yours (we can also help with the transition).
Or you might want to have a traditional ‘labour hire’ arrangement because of fluctuations in your needs. We will try to keep them working in the down times so you don’t lose them.
We charge flat fees instead of margin based fees (create a profile and log in to see what we mean by this).

Recruiters & Employment Agencies
All of these services are available to you too. We would rather collaborate on roles that we source than compete with you. To undertake the work we do we require a labour hire license but that isn't our core business model. If you have any questions then reach out and we can answer them. It may be that we already integrate with your ATS/RMS so you can use the SunnyCoastJobs brand without having to do more than sign up and use your own system.
