We highlight the types of jobs available on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and connect employers with candidates. Our aim is to provide a resource to employers to find staff by being in our directory, undertaking searches and posting job advertisements.

Likewise, we use the same approach for candidates so they can review employers, see what jobs they have to offer and make contact either via a job advertisement or a registration of interest. These are free services to both groups.

Our other services help employers offload parts of the recruitment process to us, or all of it. These include job advertisement writing, screening candidates, payroll and employment administration. Our founders are licensed employment agents and have been in recruitment industry for in excess of 25 years.

Our History & Future Vision

Sunny Coast Jobs was (and is) a Facebook page that was created by a business working within the recruitment industry. It was initially designed to be a place where Sunshine Coast employers could share jobs of interest with the community. As a result of sharing meaningful content and a variety of job opportunities, the page began to get more and more interest from both employers and job seekers alike (as evidenced by the graphic to the right).

Our vision and goal is to continue to promote and develop the group for the benefit of job seekers, employers and recruiters, and build innovative digital tools to help our community connect.

Online Portal ~ What is it?

We offer our portal for registrations for both Job Seekers and Employers/Recruiters. The functionality at a high level includes:

• Employers & Recruiters
  • Create a branded profile that can be reviewed by job seekers
  • Indicate the type of roles you employ (eg Barista, Chemical Engineer, Web Developer, etc;) and subsequently search for staff who match these categories
  • Post job advertisements that can be shared to your own networks or websites
  • Receive and process applications matching your advertised vacancies
• Job Seekers
  • Create a profile that can be reviewed by employers where you can share your resume, details & information about yourself
  • Indicate the type of roles you are after (eg Barista, Chemical Engineer, Web Developer, etc;) and subsequently search for suitable employers
  • Respond to job advertisements and apply for roles
  • Review your applications and their status.

Recruiters & Employment Agents

We have not hidden the fact that "on paper" we are a recruitment agency and it would be fair to have concerns that we are a competitor. This is not the case at all. Our business model is based on using our existing services to support employers who aren't looking for an end to end solution.

If there is a particular group that we want to encourage to support this site it would be the recruitment sector. Some reasons for this include:

• Your job advertisement quality and quantity is often more significant than the average business
• We offer the same candidate database search tools to you as we would any other employer
• The revenue that we receive would not be sustainable in a traditional agency setting so you aren't missing out on anything. It is straight fee for service
• The same services we offer to other employers eg: end-to-end digital payroll are also available to you
• When given a role that is end-to-end we would rather fee split with a specialist agency before undertaking it ourselves.
